Newborn Photos with baby Simon

It was a joy to meet Josh and Ashton and photograph them with their new baby boy, Simon.  Simon slept through some of the photos and then later showed off his fresh, beautiful eyes.  The chihuahua and two energetic whippet puppies joined us for some delightful photos!  I love including family pets in lifestyle photography!

Their craftsmen style Portland, Oregon home was a natural light photographer's dream, with its beautiful white walls, high wooden beams, and a skylight letting the most beautiful soft light into the bedroom.  After taking photos around the house we stepped into the backyard and took some patio photos. My favorite part of their session was when dad brought out his guitar and sang for his son and wife.  It felt like I was witnessing an intimate family moment and was so honored to document it all.
