Photography Mini Sessions for Young Families

When you have young children, the thought of a family photography session might make you cringe.

What will they wear? How will you keep them clean for pictures? What happens if there’s a meltdown? Or two. Or three!

These are all reasons I LOVE mini sessions for families with young children. At around 15 minutes, minis are MUCH shorter than typical photography sessions. We get the shots before your littles get too tired, too wrinkled or too dirty! And because everyone’s still fresh, the images I get are natural, fun and really reflect the love in your family dynamic!

There’s a special kind of excitement around seasonal minis that you have to experience to understand. Maybe it’s because each one happens only once a year. Maybe it’s the underlying enthusiasm about the changing of the season. Whatever it is, seasonal minis have a special kind of magic that I love and look forward to all year!

Milestone-mini sessions are available once a month, year-round. These are so, so amazing for young families, because they’re an opportunity to capture your children at a precious, fleeting stage of development, before they move on to the next one!

Kids change so quickly during those first few years, AND when you’re in the middle of it with them (the nighttime feedings, the long days on the couch snuggling together, the car rides to get them to nap), time tends to move slowly. It can be hard to imagine your life ever looking differently than it does now, but I promise you, it changes. And years from now, you will want professional images to look back on–to treasure and remember and hold close to your heart how small your children once were.

Mini sessions are budget-friendly and I love that for young families. You might spend the same amount on 3 mini sessions throughout the year, as you would on 1 “regular” session (around the holidays, for instance). And that gives you the chance to have professional photos of your children at 3 different times a year instead of just one!

All mini session collections begin at $275 and include 8 professionally-edited images to download and print however you’d like.

I also love minis because I get to see your family more often and your kids get to know me as “their” photographer! Since I’m not a stranger, they relax quickly and I’m able to capture their sweet, genuine smiles and interactions more easily!
