Two beautiful rows of cherry trees bloom between the Portland Steel Bridge and the Japanese American Historical Plaza. The park offers a beautiful location for an afternoon walk along the esplanade, a bike ride, or a work lunch break in downtown.

The festival also offers food carts, children’s activities, and a wine tasting room. On a clear day, you will be able to see a great view of Mt Hood. I love that the event is dog-friendly for well-behaved dogs on leashes.

Everyone needs to bring a camera to the Tulip Festival! It is such a spectacular sight to photograph! The festival offers early morning entry passes if you wish to take photos without all the crowds. They also hold a photography contest every year!

Mountainside Lavender is a small family farm located in Hillsboro, Oregon surrounded by beautiful wine country. I love visiting this little farm and picking lavender for my home. The farm is very family-friendly and the perfect late spring outing! You can also visit their farm animals including baby goats.
When to Visit
The lavender farm opens June 8th and continues through the month of July.
